Khersonskaya Street on a pre-revolutionary postcard (today – Lieutenant Pokladov Street). In the background of the old picture you can see three buildings that have survived to this day – a house on the corner of the street. Kherson and st. Birzhevaya (now house number 7, known as “siphon”), the hotel “Palmira” (Administration of education) and the hotel “Victoria” (where the cafe “Nova Dikanka” is now)
