It was decided to build a recreation centre on the Psel River, 25 kilometres from Kremenchuk, near the village of Potoky, where Psel makes a loop. There was a natural sandy beach. Proposals for the name of the base were different: “Krazovets”, “Krazovsky”. But the proposal of Anatoly Vasilievich Nekrasenko “Green Oakwood” was accepted. On weekends, buses ran from the KrAZ plant to the recreation centre. When personal cars began to appear for the workers of the plant, a parking lot was equipped in 1974.
