Aviation history of the city of Kremenchuk in numbers

In the city of Kremenchuk in the period from 1927 to 2012. there were 5 aviation educational institutions:
– OSOAVIAKHIM with the aviation section from 1927 to 1936.

• flying club from 1937 to 1941;
  – military aviation school in 1941;
  –military aviation school of initial training of pilots 1953-1959;
  – flight school of civil aviation from 1960 to the present (flight college)
  During the activity of the listed institutions, about 70,000 pilots were trained, including about 5,000 from among citizens of foreign states.
  Of the graduates of aviation educational institutions of the city, 10 people became Heroes of the Soviet Union, 3 of them twice heroes, 4 graduates became cosmonauts, 15 people received the title of “Honored Test Pilot” and “Honored Test Navigator” aviation” is not exactly known.
