General view of the Kremenchuk grain elevator in the fall of 1941 (stitched together from 2 photos). The figures of the people in the photo give an idea of the enormous size of this structure. The elevator was built in 1935-1937 between Reivka and Kovalivka. On August 10, 1941, by order of the local Soviet leadership, the elevator’s granaries were destroyed. Below is a German aerial photograph dated July 15, 1941, showing the territory of the elevator and even entire granaries.
