Khersonska Street (now Lieutenant Pokladova Street) during the German occupation, Kremenchuk, 1941-43. The photo was taken from the roof of the building, on the site of which kindergarten #18 is now located. In the center of the photo you can see the intersection with Lenina Street, the building on the left, with columns and a clock on the belvedere – the former City Duma (today the House of Trade is located there). On the right you can see the upper part of the building, where “Industrialbank” is now located. In the center of the photo, in the background, you can see the building of mill #4. Judging by the Luftwaffe uniforms and the telephone, the Germans on the roof are performing the function of air defense observers.
