st. Ekaterinoslavskaya.
Both Khersonskaya and Yekaterinoslavskaya streets originated from Salt Square near the Dnieper. A postal route to the city of Yekaterinoslav was laid along this street, which gave the name to the street. Ekaterinoslavskaya street was first mentioned in the documents of the 18th century. The approaching Russian-Turkish war made Kryukov a large rear base for Russian troops. Numerous warehouses are being built here for storing uniforms, horse ammunition, and weapons. Two large quartermaster warehouses have survived to this day. One at the very beginning of the street, the other, almost at its very end – behind Demurovka. The railroad embankment divided Kryukov into two parts. Yekaterinoslavskaya turned out to be, as it were, on the outskirts, in its patriarchal part.
