The An-12A cargo aircraft (serial number 2401004, registration USSR-11385) that ended up in Kremenchuk was previously operated by the North Caucasus Territorial Directorate of the Civil Air Fleet and based in Rostov-on-Don. It was decommissioned in 1977 after reaching the end of its service life. The plan was to use the aircraft not merely as a museum exhibit, but as a children’s café and even a cinema. However, after the plane was installed in the park, the fire department prohibited its use as a cinema. Eventually, the aircraft fell into disrepair; it was subsequently dismantled and scrapped.
