Germans on Zeleny Island, September 1941. On the opposite bank is the Kremenchuk embankment, on the left in the distance you can see the tower of the elevator near the dam (today there are concrete foundations of the post-war elevator). Near the shore of Zeleny Island is a German self-propelled ferry loaded with horse-drawn carts, a little further a floating bridge is being built from the island to the granite rock-register.
