Construction of the Kryukovsky Bridge after the Second World War. Start of construction in 1947, completion of construction on December 21, 1949. Its design has changed – it has become two-tiered, the length of the spans has increased and, accordingly, the number of river bulls has decreased, the carrying capacity of the bridge has increased, now it is over 100 tons. The bridge stands on the supports of the first bridge, architect A. Struve, built in 1872.
