The part of the square, which is in the photo, until 1977 was a small square with a fountain and the Board of Honor, separated from the central square by Pushkin Street. During the reconstruction in 1977, the passage was closed, the fountain was dismantled, and the square entered the territory of Oktyabrsky square. In the upper left corner, you can see the preserved pre-revolutionary building, which belonged to police chief A.I. Kozachka until 1917.
