In 1913, near the railway bridge, large-scale dredging began to destroy the stone fences on the forwarder. On the nearby island (Dymkin, Dynka – at different times it was called differently), they decided to arrange temporary, albeit quite capital housing for workers, which later turned into a whole island settlement. Back in the early 1960s, workers of the river port, mostly buoy workers, lived on it. After the construction of the river port on the First Zanasyp, all workers were evicted, providing them with new housing in the city.
