A local museum of local history has been opened in Kremenchuk. It has many interesting exhibits that acquaint viewers with the history of the region, as well as nature: fauna and flora. The city library-reading room is popular among residents. It was created from the library of the former teachers’ institute, secondary schools and private libraries. There are many works of Ukrainian classics here, especially banned during the Soviet era: H. Khotkevich, M. Khvylovy, etc. The library has many textbooks. Church life is also being revived. One of the grandest churches in Kremenchuk in terms of its architecture — Assumption Cathedral — (former, cathedral), now almost renovated. The inside of the temple is already decorated. The iconostasis has been re-equipped, decorated with Ukrainian towels, embroideries and icons on the walls and stands. The royal gates are decorated with Ukrainian ornaments at the top and on the sides.
