In 1801-1803. on the site of the current shopping and entertainment complex “Europe” (the former “House of Officers”), a stone one-domed, in connection with the bell tower, Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya Church was built, consecrated on September 4, 1803, with the blessing of the Bishop of Little Russia and Pereyaslovskiy S. Lebedinsky.
