One of the few shots where you can see the Holy Dormition Cathedral in color. The cathedral was located on Cathedral Square (formerly Aleksandrovskaya, now Victory Square) until 1943. During the retreat, German torch-bearers destroyed one of the most beautiful buildings in Kremenchug. The cathedral was built for 13 years (1803 – 1816), initially the project of the cathedral in 1790 created Giacomo Quarenghi, later the project was redone in the direction of simplification and built under the guidance of architect L. Karloni.
