Monument to the sailors who fell during the Civil War 1918-1919

The monument was erected at the beginning of the street. I. Prikhodko on the right side, immediately after the descent from the bridge to Kryukov. The basis of the Dnieper flotilla was the Baltic sailors who arrived in Kremenchug from Kronstadt. Sailor A.V. commanded the flotilla. Polupanov. A resident of Kremenchug, V.A., provided great assistance in organizing the flotilla. Soft, elected in 1919 as a delegate to the VII Congress of Soviets. The headquarters of the flotilla was located on the armored train number 8. The flotilla took an active part in the battles against Denikin and numerous gangs. In memory of the sailors in 1940, this monument was erected. The authors of the monument were amateur sculptors Molchanov and G. Dzyuba. In 1988 the monument was reconstructed.
