The bank of the Dnieper and the embankment between the Kremenchuk embankment and Zaton in Reeves, September 1941. On the left, in the foreground, you can see the sand spit of Zaton, a little further behind the dam – the elevator tower (now opposite it are the concrete foundations of the post-war elevator). In the center of the picture, behind the dam, a destroyed building with a pipe can be seen – this is a steam mill (perhaps #22), which was located on Rosa Luxemburg Street (now it is Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street, approximately across the street from “Auto Center”). A German Fieseler Fi156 Storch aircraft flies over the Dnipro.
