German pontoon crossing across the Dnieper, September 1941. The photo was taken from the Ostland Bridge, just downstream from the Kryukiv Railway Bridge. In the distance, on the right, is Dymkin Island (Dynka). On the right, in the foreground, the remains of the span structures of the Kryukiv Bridge are visible in the water; in September, the Germans dismantled the destroyed spans of the railway bridge, and new ones will be built in October.
