In October 1991, the Orthodox cities of Kremenchug came to the city council building with a demand to restore the temple (Trinity Church). They sang Christian songs and prayers of the Most Holy Theotokos on the main square of the city (Victory Square) for almost the whole day, until the mayor Ivan Ponomarenko came out to them. The official said that the issue of building the temple has been resolved.
