2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the August events of 1941 when the militia defended their hometown of Kremenchuk on Deevskaya Gora.
Of course, it is an unrealistic task to compile the entire list, because there were about 3800 people, but you can try, bit by bit, to collect names and surnames, information about the defenders of our city who were not afraid to stand up against the “Wehrmacht War Machine”. The names of many of them have sunk into history, forgotten ….
