The German Ostland Road Bridge, slightly downstream from the Kryukiv Railway Bridge, Kremenchuk, September 1941. In the background of the photo, the left bank of the Dnieper River is visible, in the area of the modern Santorini Yacht Club. The difference in levels is due to the fact that the upper part of the bridge from the Kremenchuk bank to the middle of the Dnieper riverbed was built on wooden supports, while the lower part, to the Kryukiv bank, was mounted on captured Soviet barges. The construction of the Ostland Bridge lasted from September 12 to 28, 1941.
